This photograph was taken after my move to the Pacific Northwest, in Seattle, Washington.
Suffering from intense homesickness, I had stopped taking photographs all together
but one day I saw that Alvin was coming to Seattle and I decided to pick up my camera once again.
This remains the only blues session that I have taken since leaving
the Delta area and ironically,it was of someone also from Memphis. These photos were the last I took for the next 3 years
and represent the end of the era of my American Delta series.
