I specialize doing on-location work, performances in clubs and more personal work documenting rehearsals and recording sessions. The biggest consideration for on-location work is lighting, the better the light, the better the photos. 

I do studio shoots but do not do purely posed work. The studio is perfect when a controlled effect is desired such as dramatic lighting or the artist is not currently performing out. Even in a studio setting I like to shoot while the musician is working so be prepared to bring your instruments, tools and equipment!
